Local Plan
A key objective of the Local Plan is to seek to promote sustainable economic growth across the District. It seeks to achieve this through facilitating the growth of existing businesses, fostering new local enterprise, contributing to a reduction in the need for out commuting and helping to increase the sustainability and self-containment of communities to enable the development of a vibrant, diverse and sustainable business community.
The Local Plan includes policies and identifies sites to enable sustainable growth in key sectors and priorities identified through the Economic Development Strategy, namely broadband infrastructure, provision of employment land, Tourism, Leisure and other Town Centre uses.
